CAF interclub competition bonuses increased

This Friday, May 19, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced a 40% increase in the bonuses of the two major African interclub competitions: the Champions League and the CAF Cup.

The winner of the Champions League will receive $4 million, compared to $2 million for the runner-up. The other two semi-finalists will receive $1.2 million. Teams eliminated in the quarterfinals will receive $900,000. Teams that do not make it past the group stage will receive $700,000.

Regarding the CAF Cup, the winner will receive 2 million dollars. The runner-up will get 1 million dollars. The unfortunate semi-finalists will leave with 750 000 dollars. Those who stop in the quarterfinals will have 550 000 dollars. Elimination in the group stage will get $400,000.
