Ghana Women’s Premier League match day 16 wrap: Police Ladies beat Berry Ladies, Northern Ladies taste defeat as Hasaacas beat Soccer Intellectuals to widen gap

There were lot of twists and turns on match day 16 of the Ghana Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League as Police Ladies FC maintain dominance over Berry Ladies.

Having defeated them in the first round, the Security service team managed to comeback from a goal down to grab another victory at home, thanks to a second half brace from Deborah Afriyie.

Leaders of the Southern Zone, Hasaacas Ladies recorded another victory at the Sekondi Gyandu park as they defeated Soccer Intellectuals by 3-1.

A brace from Doris Boaduwaa and a goal from Abigail Sakyiwaah was enough for the hasmal ladies to record another crucial victory. Cecilia Aqcuah scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

Ridge City FC are still after their first victory of the season as they lost heavily to Ladystrikers at home.

Elsewhere in the Northern Zone, leaders Pearl Pia Ladies were held to a goalless draw by Supreme Ladies FC at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Prisons Ladies FC travelled to Nana Agyemang Badu park in Dormaa to beat Candy Soccer Academy heavily by 5-1.

A hat trick from Helena Obeng and two other goals from Juliet Acheampong and Abigail Tutuwaah helped the visitors to demolish the new comers.

Former champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies were also held at home to a 1-1 draw by Tamale Super Ladies.

Comfort Yeboah had the Nanamma the lead in the 51st minute but the visitors drew level, just few minutes to end of duration through Rashida Abubakari.
